To the Editor:
The scandal involving many Hollywood elites and their alleged harassment crimes shows how much of a problem Hollywood has with sexual harassment and hiding it.
Sexual harassment is a serious crime that harms the victim, no matter how well-off the victim may be. Many actors, actresses and production members are forced into silence because the people who harass them are in higher positions or because they fear backlash for accusing someone of that crime. It's a shame that many people had to feel the unpleasantness that being a victim of sexual harassment brings.
However, the aftermath of this scandal has led to legitimizing speaking out against sexual harassment of any kind. This shows that even in the most unpleasant of situations, great things can come about from it.
