To the Editor:

This is a response to the current book and tour by Hillary R. Clinton. Her latest is entitled “What Happened?"

I thought of more than a dozen different alternate book titles. I settled upon “She Lost” because it’s concise, honest and straightforward, the simple and inconvenient truth, the answer to her question. She did not run the best campaign; misspent a lot of money, time and energy. To borrow the line from President Trump — her challenger — “she had no game." End of story, it’s over. Now accept it, deal with it and move on.

It is not my intention to criticize Ms. Clinton’s book. However, I will point out a few facts. By her remaining in the limelight on center stage — especially in any negative capacity — only serves to damage whatever remains of her legacy and public image. It is actually self-destructive and pathetic in nature. It’s counterproductive to the Democratic Party and only benefits the Republicans.

It’s a very sad ending to leave as an example to other women interested in pursuing public service or political careers. The presidential election was a year ago! Thousands of American families have lost family members and loved ones (myself included), along with military members serving in harm’s way, who have sacrificed their lives for our country. We buried them and moved on.

Privately and publicly, both parties and the American people are really tired of it all. They’ve moved on and it’s time that Hilliary Clinton joins the rest of us!
