To the Editor:
I read your "Thumbs up/thumbs down" article, and normally I concur with your analysis, but today you erred.
Gov. Rauner is the governor (engineer on the train), but it is Madigan that owns and operates the track. Something he has been doing for many, many years.
The engineer (and train) can only go where the track allows him, and everyone knows, if Madigan doesn't give his "blessing," the track is torn up or re-routed. If the people think by electing a democratic governor will change things, you need to talk to previous democratic governors.
Madigan runs this state, and your editorial board knows that. You erred, admit it!
