ST. LOUIS — For the 14th time in league history, at least two Missouri Valley Conference volleyball teams were selected for the 64-team NCAA Tournament Sunday.

No. 25 Missouri State, which won the regular season and tournament championship, was joined by at-large selection Northern Iowa in the field. The Bears (28-5) take on 10th-ranked Michigan State (21-8) in Omaha Friday at 4 p.m., while the Panthers (26-8) take on Louisville (24-6) Friday at 4:30 in Minneapolis.

It is the 10th time in the last 12 years that the MVC has placed multiple teams into the NCAA Tourney. Since 2007, the Valley has received 30 bids into the 64-team field, trailing only the Pac 12, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, ACC & West Coast Conferences.
