firefighter testing City of Marion Fire Department Testing The City of Marion Fire and Police Merit Board is accepting applications and testing for the position of Probationary Firefighter for the purpose of establishing an Eligibility List for future hiring. The application packet can be downloaded on our website at marionfire.us/employment or can be picked up at the Marion Fire Dept. Completed application submissions along with a $25 application fee must be post-marked or received at the City of Marion Fire Department, located at 204 N. Court St. Marion, IL 62959 no later than Friday, July 01, 2022 by 5:00 pm. Qualifications: • Must have high school diploma or GED • Age requirement in compliance with (65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6) • Must be of good health and eye sight • Must be a citizen of the United States • Residency requirements apply within 18 months of employment • No previous conviction of any felony or disqualifying misdemeanors • Valid Illinois Driver’s License The City of Marion is an Equal Opportunity Employment Employer.
