Centerstone, a national leader in behavioral health care, hosted the unveiling of its Community Champions Wall on Monday, Sept. 30, at the West Frankfort Centerstone office.

“The Community Champions Awards honor community leaders who have made a difference by advancing mental health and substance use disorder services through their advocacy, leadership and service,” said CEO John Markley.

The 2019 winners of the award are Camille Dorris, of Southern Illinois Coalition for the Homeless, and Brittney Hale, of Prevent Child Abuse Illinois.

Past winners of the Southern Illinois Centerstone Community Champions award featured on the wall include: in 2018, Adrienne Baker, Matt Buckman, Ph.D., and Natasha Shafer, APN-FNP; in 2017, Lukasz Dabrowski, MD, and Michelle McLernon; and in 2016, Diana Brawley Sussman and Patsy Parker.
