Eric Burd has been promoted to branch manager at SIU Credit Union’s Carbondale West branch, 1217 W. Main St., according to Erica Pankey, Vice President of Operations.
Burd will be responsible for providing operational leadership to branch staff, including staff development and retention, and delivery of member service.
“I am excited to announce Eric’s promotion to branch manager. He has proven himself as a capable, valuable member of the SIU Credit Union team,” Pankey said. “We know he is a dedicated leader that maintains the credit union’s community focus and provides excellent member service. We are eager to watch him grow in this new position.”

Burd was previously a member service representative in the Marion and Energy branches and has more than nine years of experience with financial institutions.
Burd is a 2001 graduate of John A. Logan College and a 2003 graduate from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in social science education.
Additionally, he coaches youth soccer and volunteers for the Southern Illinois Heart Walk. Burd resides in Herrin with his wife and two daughters.
