Dr. Carey Harbison, owner and veterinarian of Harrisburg Veterinary Clinic, was appointed advisory board member for Legence Bank.
The announcement was made during the annual meeting in April in Eldorado. As an advisory board member, Harbison will play a critical role in providing advice on policy decisions, and the Bank’s overall operations.
Harbison, who has 29 years of experience in veterinary medicine, founded Town & Country Veterinary Clinic in 1987, located in McLeansboro with his partner, Dr. Pat York. He then founded the Harrisburg Veterinary Clinic in 1993. He started his career at the Gallatin County Vet Service.
Harbison served on the Saline County Board as chairman from 2010 to 2013, in addition to coaching basketball in the Eldorado school system for 14 years.
Harbison resides on a farm in Raleigh with his wife, Brooke, and daughter, Emma Tess.
