Alisa Coleman, the chief executive officer of Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, was elected to the board of directors of the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network at its Nov. 14 meeting in Champaign.

In her new role, Coleman will support the organization and its mission to strengthen and provide assistance and resources to its 55 member hospitals.

“I am excited about working with Alisa in the coming year," ICAHN Executive Director Pat Schou said in a news release. "She has already very successfully served as our Issues Committee Chair and has a pulse on what is needed now in healthcare and almost more importantly, what is expected in the future. We greatly welcome her experience and expertise.”

Her accomplishments at Ferrell Hospital include an expansion of the general surgery program, the addition of digital mammography and continuation of the pain clinic that opened in 2015.
