Corporate Headquarters for Legence Bank is pleased to announce Mike Haake as the new vice president of Ag. and Commercial Lending.

Haake has 28 years of experience in banking, with an emphasis in commercial lending, along with time in underwriting and retail.

“Mike Haake will be a tremendous asset to our leadership team at Legence Bank,” said Kevin Beckemeyer, the bank’s President and CEO. “His many years of experience in commercial lending, underwriting and management will be a great benefit to our company as we continue to enhance resources for our customers and build our team.”

Haake brings a tremendous amount of experience in lending, management, and underwriting, along with a deep understanding of logistical, managerial and operational dynamics crucial for today’s business world. Haake’s community involvement includes president of Carterville Athletic Booster Club, secretary of Carbondale Kiwanis Club and past president of Carbondale Kiwanis Club. He is a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin as a Eucharistic Minister. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois, in addition to Credit Risk Certification from RMA.

We are excited to have Mike Haake join the Legence Bank team. Haake will be responsible for the overall management of our commercial lending team. He will be implementing opportunities for growth to include; increased deposits and loans, new business relationships, and enhanced customer service.
