Dr. Jeffrey Ripperda has been invited to join the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford as a clinical assistant professor.
Ripperda practices medicine at Shawnee Health Care in Murphysboro. He joined Shawnee Health Care in August 2007.
In this role, Ripperda will provide instruction to medical students from the perspective of a practitioner. Promotion to clinical associate professor is based upon an assessment that a candidate has made contributions of an appropriate magnitude and quality in his or her discipline, in teaching and in learning.
Ripperda is a graduate of University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria Family Practice Residency at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, where he was a participant in the Rural Medical Education Program.
