SI Elder Law, LLC, attorneys will talk about the importance of having the correct estate planning documents in place at a free seminar at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Pavilion of the City of Marion.
SI Elder Law Owner and Attorney Tiffanny H. Sievers will review the importance of having your estate plan work in conjunction with your financial plan. She will discuss powers of attorney, living wills, last will and testaments, and trusts. She will also discuss veteran’s benefits and Medicaid planning tools that can help preserve assets earned over a lifetime.
“Each family is different, so it’s important to know how these legal tools can protect assets from not only Probate, but also from long term care medical expenses that can easily rack up when you are looking at the need for care at a nursing home, assisted living or at home,” Sievers said in a news release. “An estate plan also can protect against lawsuits, second marriages and divorce.”
The seminar is free and open to the public. To RSVP, call 618-997-3500.
