Varsity Center in Carbondale seats new directors, president

The remodeling of the marquee for the Varsity Center for the Arts included the installation of two LED boards.

The Varsity Center has seated new directors on its board and elected a new president. They also have hired an executive director.

Peter Gregory of Carbondale was elected president of the Board of Directors at the board’s monthly meeting Feb. 2. Cara Recine of Carbondale was hired as executive director in January.

The Varsity is a multi-use facility for entertainment, visual and performing arts, live music, community events and meetings. It can also host corporate events. Call 618-319-3210 or visit for more information.
