The Stage Company is bringing the classic American drama "Our Town" to the stage, and it is seeking actors to audition.
"Our Town," written by Thornton Wilder, follows the small town of Grover's Corner through three acts: "Daily Life," "Love and Marriage," and "Death and Eternity." A news release says this particular production will be a darker take on the classic play than might be expected.
Jenn Caudell will direct for the Stage Company with assistant director David Rush.
Auditions are set for 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 29, and Tuesday, April 30, at The Varsity Center. Callbacks will be held Wednesday, May 1.
Actors are asked to come prepared with a 90-second monologue of their choice. There will be sides from the script for cold reads, as well.
The director seeks roles for four males, ages 20 to 50, and four females, ages 20 to 50.
Those considering auditioning are encouraged to email email@example.com with any questions.
The play runs July 12 to 14 and July 18 to 21.
