The Stage Company's next performance, comedy musical "Forever Plaid," is set to open a two-weekend run on Feb. 7.
"Forever Plaid" is a 1950s nostalgia piece with a barbershop quartet-type soundtrack. It follows four young singers who are killed in a car crash and posthumously take the stage for a final gig, according to a news release from the Stage Company.
The show has performances Feb. 7 to 9 and Feb. 13 to 16. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday shows are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets for the Thursday, Feb. 13, show are $7 for everyone. The box office is open from 5 to 7 p.m. on 7:30 p.m. show nights and 1 p.m. on Sunday show days. Performances take place at The Varsity, 418 S. Illinois Ave.
Brandyn McGhee, the technical director for the O'Neil Auditorium at John A. Logan College, directs. He previously directed "No Bones About It" for the Stage Company.
