The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail is again hosting a summer food and wine pairing event at its member wineries and vineyards.
The Midsummer Picnic Pairings event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, and from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.
The event encourages guests to try new wines and explore how they make good companions for particular foods.
Food is served picnic-style in various wineries with wine samples.
