CARBONDALE — SIU’s annual Mother’s Day Brunch is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at the Student Center Ballrooms.

The menu features a wide assortment of culinary treats beginning with black-eyed pea and sweet corn salad, marinated farm house salad and baby spinach and mixed greens with blue cheese, bacon, walnuts and cider or raspberry vinaigrette.

Entrees include carved roast baron of beef with horseradish sauce, chicken with apple honey fruit relish and cheesy scrambled eggs. Also on the menu are biscuits and milk gravy, butter whipped potatoes, lemon glazed carrots, steamed broccoli, fresh fruit and assorted pastries, cakes and sweets.

Purchased in advance, tickets are $13 for students and seniors, $14 for the general public and $6.75 for children ages 7 and younger. They can be purchased tickets at the Student Center Business Office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Friday or by calling 618-453-3478.

Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the brunch but prices are $1 higher.
