A documentary that follows one veteran's struggle through post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, drug addiction and subsequent recovery is set to screen in Harrisburg.

"Homemade" follows Marine Adam Sorensen as he navigates civilian life and the effects of PTSD, injury and addiction. The filmmakers followed Sorensen and his family for six years to make the film. It is set to screen in several cities during Veterans Day weekend.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and question-and-answer session featuring local veterans' advocacy and support groups and addiction specialists.

Filmmakers say they hope start conversations about the challenge of transition from military to civilian life. 

The screening and discussion will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, at Showplace Cinemas Harrisburg 9, 701 N. Commercial St.
