The monthly lunch hour acoustic concert series continues in September with a performance by Liz Hartman and Ken Wollberg.

The Sandwiches and Strings concert series is sponsored by Carbondale Community Arts and happens every third Thursday of the month. Concerts are free and attendees are encouraged to bring and eat their own lunch.

Concerts run from noon to 1 p.m.

Hartman is a bassist — she plays both stand-up and electric — from Carbondale. She is in Southern Illinois Symphony, the rock band Porch Fire and Heart Strings String Quartet. She is also a librarian at John A. Logan College.

Wollberg is a violist and violinist. He's been a professional musician and music educator since 1974, and is the director of Heart Strings Violin Studio and the co-director of Sandwiches and Strings.

The concert is at Artspace 304, at 304 W. Walnut St.
