2016 Honors: Harrisburg High School

Harrisburg High School has recognized Bryce Beal, Patrick Walker Bittle, Ally Langley, Kerrigan Murphy, Lilee Robinson and Taylor Field.

Beal, 17, is an Illinois State Scholar and a member of Mu Alpha Theta. He placed third his junior year at Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering regionals and second his senior year and received the Algebra II Honors Award and U.S. History (DC) Award. He is a member of National Honor Society, senior class president, Key Club, history, pep and art clubs, White Hats Club and prom committee.

The son of Tink and Tonya Beal of Harrisburg, he plans to study finance.

Bittle, 18, received All State Academic Team Honorable Mention and was junior class marshall. He is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Key Club, WYSE and history and pep clubs.

The son of Todd and Beth Bittle of Harrisburg, he plans to study business management.

Eldridge, 18, is an Illinois State Scholar and DAR Good Citizen recipient. She is a member of Quill and Scroll, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Key Club, journalism and book clubs, and soccer and swim teams.

The daughter of Betsy Shanks and Michael Eldridge of Harrisburg, she plans to study pre-medicine at Saint Louis University.

Langley, 17, is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Quill and Scroll, National Honor Society, Key Club, student council, newspaper staff, White Hats, Youth for Christ, volleyball team and book, history and pep clubs.

The daughter of Kim Langley and Greg and Laura Langley, all of Harrisburg, she plans to study at Belmont University.

Murphy, 17, received Midwest Achievement Scholarship (SEMO). She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Key Club, pep club and White Hats.

The daughter of Keely Stephens of Harrisburg, she plans to study nursing at Southeast Missouri State University.

Robinson, 18, is an Illinois State Scholar. She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Key Club, White Hats, pep club and volleyball and basketball teams.

The daughter of Vivian and Dennis Robinson of Harrisburg, she plans to study pre- medicine.

Commencement will be at 8 p.m. May 14 on Taylor Field. Valedictorians are Emma Eldridge, Bryce Beal and Patrick Bittle. Baccalaureate was be at 6:30 p.m. May 11 in the Davenport Gymnasium.
