April Cole and Jared Knapp were united in marriage Saturday, July 26, 2014, in Logan Street Baptist Church in Mount Vernon. The Rev. Paul Hicks officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Terry Gholson of Carbondale are the parents of the bride.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted and Susan Knapp of Mount Vernon.
The maid of honor was Autumn Wilson. Bridesmaids were Heather Cole, Megan Knapp, Cassady Sapp, Liz Barbero and Lori Gettinger-Fiene. Junior bridesmaids were Kaylynn Cole and Grace Wilson.
The flower girl was Faith Wilson.
The best man was Jarred Tynes. Groomsmen were Chris Cox, Jason Owens, Mitchell Jenkins, Bryan Helvey and David Helvey.
The ring bearer was Braden Cole.
Ushers were Daniel Cole and Doug Wilson. The program attendants were Ethan Wilson and Brian Cole.
The newlyweds greeted guests at a reception held at Benton Civic Center.
After a honeymoon in the Hawaii, the newlyweds will reside in Mount Vernon.
The bride is graduate of Carbondale Community High School and a graduate of SIU with a degree in foreign language and international business. She is director of medical staff services at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mount Vernon.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Mount Vernon Township High School and the University of Tennessee with a degree in finance and the University of Missouri with a master's in business administration. He is vice-president at Community Bank of the Heartland in Mount Vernon.
