Easy Apple and Sausage Stuffing

Yield: About 4 cups

Time: 30-40 minutes

½ pound bulk sausage

½ cup chopped onion

½ cup chopped celery

3 apples, chopped

1 box (6 ounces) herbed stuffing mix

1½ cups chicken stock or apple juice

Cook the sausage in a frying pan over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add the onion and celery to the sausage and continue cooking until the onions are translucent and sausage is done. Stir in the apples and continue cooking until the apples are soft. Add the stuffing mix and chicken stock and stir everything together until well combined and the stuffing is moist. Once cooled, use to stuff a pork loin, turkey, chicken or Cornish game hen. To bake, place in casserole dish and bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
