Recipe | Grilled Baby Bok Choy

Baby Bok Choy is younger and is harvested when the plant is about 6 inches tall making it sweeter than bok choy. Grilling it brings out the sweet flavor.

Yield: 4 servings

Time: 15 minutes

1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar

2 teaspoons sesame oil

2 teaspoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon honey

8 baby bok choy

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce and honey then set aside. Trim the ends off each baby bok choy, leaving enough to keep the plant intact then cut each plant in half lengthwise. Place each half on a platter with the inside facing up and gently brush the vinegar and oil mixture over the plant. Place the plant on the grill with the inside facing down and brush the top side with the marinade. Grill for 5 minutes, flip and grill for another 3 to 5 minutes or until the thickest part of the plant is tender.
