Although Bunker’s Bar & Grill has only been in business for about a year, General Manager Braidy Keonigstein said the restaurant has a loyal clientele.

“It’s been great!" she said. “The golfers love it.”

Bunker’s is a part of the 18-hole, Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course in Okawville, nine holes that follow the Plum Creek across the “lay of the land” and nine holes in a “links-style layout.”

Keonigstein is quick to point out that as “fantastic” as the golf course is, the restaurant is just as “fantastic,” offering daily specials, homemade soups and desserts, a salad bar, a Bunker Burger guaranteed to bring you back, and a variety of specialty wraps.

“We have a lot of exciting things going on, too,” she said. “We have 50-cent wings every Thursday evening from 4 to 8 p.m., fish and shrimp specials every Friday evening, and fried-chicken specials every day.

“You can get a whole chicken, two large sides and four dinner rolls for about $20,” she said. “And you can dine in or order carry-out.”

Bunker’s is a full-service restaurant and bar with a full kitchen staff, including a kitchen manager and waitresses, and a full bar staff. The restaurant has an outside deck and a big-screen TV, “to watch your favorite sports teams while enjoying the beauty of RBM Golf Course.” Bunker’s also has a banquet room and offers a catering menu “for just about any occasion.”
