Alto Vineyards celebrated 30 years in business with a three-day festival on the weekend of September 14-16. On Friday night, the winery hosted a formal dinner and wine pairing gala which featured a four-course catered meal and live jazz by The Jewels. On Saturday, Alto Vineyards brought back CajunFest, with live music by King Juba and Creole Stomp. There was plenty of Cajun food for sale and the evening ended with a professional fireworks show. On Sunday, the winery hosted a Customer Appreciation Day, with door deals and drink specials.

The winery opened in 1988, and was integral in starting the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail and establishing the American Viticulture Area known as Shawnee Hills AVA.
