A Vergennes construction company lost its Better Business Bureau accreditation in June.

According to a news release from the BBB, The Go To Guys Construction failed to complete a project and failed to issue a refund to the customer who had hired them.

The release states the BBB tried to contact the company several times between Jan. 22 and May 8 after the customer complained to the bureau that the work hadn't been completed and the company hadn't given a refund.

The Go To Guys never responded to the complaint. The bureau asked the company to resign its accreditation, but it did not. The BBB's executive committee on June 25 revoked the accreditation.

The Better Business Bureau is a nonprofit consumer protection group. Its St. Louis office has jurisdiction over Southern Illinois.
