A 33-year-old Tamaroa man was arrested late Tuesday night, charged with driving while license suspended and fleeing/attempting to elude a peace officer.

According to a news release from the Perry County Sheriff's Office, Scott M. Ellison was involved in an incident on 2nd North Street in Tamaroa around 10:54 p.m. Tuesday.

After he was arrested, he began to have a "medical episode" and was taken to a local hospital. After he was discharged from the hospital, he turned himself in, being charged Wednesday night for the offenses.

He is being held in the Perry County Jail on a $2,000 bond.
