A Creal Springs woman was sentenced Tuesday to a total of six and a half years in state prison on a retail theft charge and a charge of unlawful use of a credit card.

According to a news release from Williamson County State's Attorney Brandon Zanotti, Dusty M. Bozarth, also known as Dusty Avery, was sentenced to serve three and a half years on a Class 4 felony charge of retail theft and three years on a Class 3 felony charge of unlawful use of a credit card. The judge ordered the sentences to run concurrently.

Zanotti said Bozarth stole from the Marion Target in April of 2017, and in January of 2018 used a credit card that didn't belong to her at the Marion Dillard's.

Zanotti said Bozarth has prior theft convictions, including a felony theft conviction in Saline County for which she previously served two years in Illinois Department of Corrections.
