A Du Quoin man and a Carbondale juvenile were arrested Wednesday after Carbondale police officers responded to reports of shots fired.
According to a news release from the Carbondale Police Department, officers responded around 11:10 p.m. to the 300 block of South Crestview Street to a report of shots fired. The release said when they arrived they learned suspects fired shots at a victim before fleeing.

Victor J. Riley, 18, of Du Quoin, and a juvenile male from Carbondale were arrested on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of weapons.
According to the release, Riley is incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail, while the juvenile is incarcerated at a juvenile detention facility.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
