Authorities arrested a Williamson County man Sunday after a narcotics investigation.

According to a news release from the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group, police arrested Maximillian Johnson, 47, of Herrin, after he was found to have about 25 grams of heroin and a .380 firearm.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Williamson County jail. The SIEG agents were assisted by the Herrin Police Department, Williamson County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police District 13 Patrol during the incident.
