The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that happened in the parking lot of the Red Zone Bar early Sunday, according to a news release from Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick.

The release states that as the bar was closing, a fight broke out on the parking lot, and one of the people involved in the fight then jumped into a vehicle, began to drive away, and struck two people.

The vehicle continued to the intersection of Illinois 37 and Stotlar Road, where the driver lost control and left the roadway, the release said. The driver fled from the wrecked car before officers arrived, and was not located. However, the release says, several people in the area have helped to tentatively identify the driver.
