Two people were airlifted to out-of-state hospitals Saturday after a man lost control of an ATV in Franklin County.

A Tuesday news release from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said that officers responded at about 5 p.m. Saturday to Quiet Acres Road in rural Sesser where the on-scene investigation showed that Travis Todd, 41, of Sesser, had been driving an ATV with a passenger. Travelling south. Todd ran off the road, overcorrected and overturned the vehicle on the roadway, ejecting himself and Brandi Perez, 35, of Murphysboro.

Todd was airlifted from the scene to an out-of-state hospital while Perez was taken by ambulance to a local hospital before being airlifted.
