Police arrested a 78-year-old man Thursday on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a child, a Williamson County state’s attorney spokesman said.
Lyndell D. Ellis of Johnston City is accused of exploiting the minor on or about Nov. 1, according to the formal charge, a Class 4 felony carrying a sentence of one to three years upon conviction, spokesman Jimmy Dean said.
Dean would not elaborate on details regarding the allegation because it involved a minor. Police informed the state’s attorney’s office of the alleged incident, upon which a warrant was issued for Ellis’ arrest.
Ellis was taken to the Williamson County Jail, where he immediately posted $4,000 cash bond. A first appearance in circuit court is pending.
