Jacob S. Ebersol, of Oak Grove, Kentucky, is being held in jail in Todd County, Kentucky, awaiting transfer to Illinois. Upon his return, he will be held under a $40,000 bond, according to a statement from Bartoni's office.

Law enforcement allege that Ebersol traveled on multiple occasions to Illinois from Kentucky for the purpose of having sexual conduct with a minor child. Ebersol eventually transported the minor back to Kentucky, where the minor was located and returned to family by the Kentucky State Police, Bartoni said.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office was assisted in the investigation by the Kentucky State Police and the Franklin County State's Attorney's Office.
