A Marion man was sentenced to three years in prison for dealing drugs and stealing money.
According to a news release from Williamson County State's Attorney Brandon Zanotti, Bernard Cole, 35, got two three-year sentences to run concurrently on two separate felony charges.
The first charge, a Class 2 felony unlawful drug delivery charge, stemmed from a 2014 incident in which Cole sold drugs to a confidential informant. The second, a Class 3 felony theft charge, comes after Cole in 2015 misrepresented himself as a landlord and fraudulently took money from a would-be tenant.
Cole was also ordered to pay restitution to the victims he stole from. He will serve two years of mandatory supervised release after he is released from prison.
