Carbondale Police have released information on the second armed robbery reported Sunday.
According to a Thursday news release, at 4:21 p.m. Sunday, Carbondale Police responded to the 600 block of East College Street in reference to an armed robber. The release said two victims told officers that four suspects approached them, with one of them carrying a gun. After taking property, the suspects fled on foot.
As a result of the investigation, Quantez McGee, 18, of Carbondale, was arrested and charged with armed robbery. He is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail.
The victims described the other suspects as black males. One was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and multicolored shorts, and another, last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood, was described as having a long, dreadlock hairstyle.

Also reported Sunday was an armed robbery at about 9:39 p.m. in the 300 block of East Lynda Drive. According to a separate news release, responding officers were told by the victim, a driver for a local restaurant, that they were approached by two female suspects. One suspect battered the victim while the other displayed a firearm and demanded money.
The victim told officers the suspects fled west on foot on East Dorthella Street and were only described as black females. The investigation is still active and as of the time of the release no one had been arrested in the matter.
Lt. Doug Wilson with the Carbondale Police Department said Thursday that the two incidents are not related.
