CARBONDALE - Aline M. Mifflin, 86, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, in Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born May 6, 1924, in Mattoon, to Harry and Edith (Allen) Senteney.
She married A.B. Mifflin on Aug. 18, 1945. He survives her.
Aline was a member of University Baptist Church since 1950. She was also a lifetime member of SIUC Alumni Association and worked as a department secretary in engineering. She loved to sing in the university choir.
She is survived by her husband, A.B. Mifflin of Carbondale; one son, Michael W. Mifflin of Alto Pass; one daughter, Rebecca J. Mifflin of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters, Keeley Folan of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Mikala Mifflin of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Harry L. Senteney of Dallas, Texas; two nephews, Phillip Curtis of Wiley, Texas and Alden Senteney of Plano, Texas; one niece, Amber Storey of Phoenix, Ariz.; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, in University Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Anable officiating. Entombment will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to The Women's Center, University Baptist Church and American Cancer Society; memorials will be accepted at the church.
