MURPHYSBORO — Connie Dianne Clover, 61, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at her son's home in Scott City, Missouri.
Connie was born Nov. 26, 1956, in Wyatt, Missouri, to Maizie (Thomure) Rushing and Derrell Jones.
She had worked as a truck driver with her husband, and she liked to sew.
Mrs. Clover was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro.
She was an outstanding person and a "great" grandmother.
Connie married Bruce Clover on Dec. 28, 1998, in Marion, and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother and stepfather, Maixie and Dave Rushing of Fancy Farm, Kentucky; her father and stepmother, Derrell and Betty Jones of Cave Springs, Georgia; and her mother-in-law, Jacqueline Clover of Murphysboro; two sons, Benji Simmons and his girlfriend, Anneliese, who helped take care of Connie of Scott City, Missouri, and Craig Wright; two grandchildren, Lukas Simmons and Gabe Simmons; one sister, Nellie Jones of Clarksville, Indiana; one brother-in-law, Steven Clover of Murphysboro; and several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in Elm Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Allen officiating and visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.
