WEST FRANKFORT — David L. Weston, 60, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at home in West Frankfort.
He was born Wednesday, July 14, 1956, in Chicago, the son of James Logan and Wilma Lois (Summers) Weston.
David grew up and attended school in West Frankfort, and was of the Protestant faith.
He was currently employed as an electrician in the maintenance department at Continental Tire in Mount Vernon where he worked for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. (Pulley) Weston of West Frankfort; son, David L. Weston and wife, Julie, of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Dean and Claire Weston of Phoenix; significant other, Jona Rush of West Frankfort, and Jona’s sons, Jay, George and Brian; sister, Patty Wheeler and husband, Rodger of Enfield; five brothers, Donald P. Weston of West Frankfort, James Weston and wife, Kristan, of Hueytown, Alabama, John Smith and wife, Kathy, of South Elgin, James Smith of Lake Benton, and Robert Smith of Carmi; aunt, Hazel Webb and husband, Norman, and uncle, Lloyd Weston, all of Zeigler; several nieces and nephews; other extended family; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements for David L. Weston have been entrusted to Stone Funeral Home, 1201 East Poplar St., in West Frankfort.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be at a later date with interment in Zeigler Cemetery.
