CARBONDALE — Ethel June Watson, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, in Carbondale.
Ethel was born March 19, 1925, in Carbondale, the daughter of the late Chester Arthur and Mary Elizabeth (Brandon) Tomlinson.
She was united in marriage to Gordon L. Watson on Aug. 10, 1941, in Carbondale. They shared more than 48 years of marriage.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Marlene (Tom) Palmer and Charlotte Holliday; grandchildren, Randy (Stacy) Holliday, Theodore (Nicole) Mueller, Andy (Alyssa)Mueller, Amy Nolan and Laura (Jeremy) Lake; great-grandchildren, Jake (Harmony) Holliday, Shelby (Nicole) Holliday, Isabell Mueller, Elise Mueller, Saylor Mueller, Mara Nolan, Kira Nolan, Rece Nolan, Aubrey Lake and Will Lake; great-great-grandchildren, Trystyn Holliday, Ada Holliday; and many nieces nephews and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mary Tomlinson; husband, Gordon L. Watson; son-in-law, Bruce Holliday; grandson, Keith Holliday; cousins, Beulah Guard, Vaudra Rushing and Jerry Travelstead; and sisters, Ruby and Thelma and Velma.
Services will be at noon Saturday Aug. 10, 2019, at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale, with the Rev. Annabell officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale. Visitation will be prior, from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
