LARGO, Fla. — Georgia Aileen DeFrank, 95, was called home on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at 1:50 p.m. surrounded by her loving family at Suncoast Hospice in Largo, Florida.
Georgia was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Carbondale, Illinois, the daughter of the late George and Hattie (Biggs) Fore. She married Victor DeFrank on February 14th, 1946, in Woodriver, Illinois. After courting through letters through World War II, they had 4 children and shared over 50 years of marriage until his passing on November 16, 1996.
Georgia is survived by her children: Victor “Danny” (Linda) DeFrank of Waxahachie, Texas; Vicki DeFrank of St. Petersburg, Florida; Pam DeFrank–Blayney of Hannah City, Illinois; 3 grandchildren: Michael (Brittany) DeFrank of Waxahachie, Texas; Brandon (Kristen) Blayney of Dunlap, Illinois; Kristopher (Whitney) Blayney of Princeville, Illinois; 8 great-grandchildren: Baylen, Bowen, Bevin Mae DeFrank all of Waxahachie, Texas; Noah and Myles Blayney of Dunlap, Illinois; Weston, Georgia Lu and Harper Susan Blayney all of Princeville, Illinois; and her son-in-law, Brad Wingate of Tempe, Arizona.

In addition to an extended family, Georgia left a legacy of friends that fell in love with her smile, charm, dignity, Godly faith, wonderfully kind way and witty humor.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings; Clifford, Cecil, Faye, and Bernice, her husband, and her youngest daughter, Susan DeFrank-Wingate, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer on January 31, 2005.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Carbondale from 1961-2011 when she moved to the Peoria, Illinois area and eventually St. Petersburg, Florida.
Memorial Donation may be made to Drury Church, 781 Drury Road, Carbondale, Illinois 62902. A celebration of Georgia's life will Sunday, Nov. 10, at 12:30 p.m. at Drury Church with Pastor Stephen Combs officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.
