JOHNSTON CITY — Glen Claunch, 56, passed away at 1:16 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, with Pastor John Howat officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Glen was born July 13, 1963, in Herrin, the son William “Bill Jack” Earl and Sue (Crabtree) Claunch.
He married Lisa (Allen) on Sept. 10, 1999, in Pittsburg. She survives. Glen worked as a dozer operator at the coal mines.

He is survived by two sisters, Stormy Collins and husband, Steve, and Wendy Casey and husband, Gary; a brother, Larry Claunch and wife, Mary; mother and father-in-law, Lyndel and Wilma Allen; sisters-in-law, Linda Blumenstock and husband, Greg, and Rita McLuskey; one special nephew, Jake Hewlett; and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and a special dog, Abbie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
