MURPHYSBORO — Jane Marie Daniel, 89, of Tamarac, Florida, formerly of Murphysboro, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at her son's home in Tamarac, Florida.
Jane Marie was born July 6, 1930, in Murphysboro, the only child of Ralph H. and Drucilla (Clements) Dale.
She married Benjamin Willard Daniel on Jan. 20, 1951, in Murphysboro. They spent 42 blessed years together until he preceded her in death on April 7, 1993.
She was an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Murphysboro and the Meals on Wheels Program. In addition, she loved volunteering her time with the ladies auxiliary of Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. She most enjoyed traveling and precious time spent with her family and many friends.
Jane and Ben raised four children: Debbie Tindall of Murphysboro, Benjamin Dale Daniel and wife, Colleen, of Tamarac, Florida, Jefferey David Daniel of Murphysboro, and Janie Downey and husband, Matthew, of Chicago; and five grandchildren, Brandy Lynn (Daniel) Hall and husband, Levi, Danielle (Tindall) Carr and husband, Bryan, Jeffery Robert Daniel, Ben Alexander Daniel and Loryn Downey. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren including Kellee, June, Ben and Cain and one great-great-grandson, Waylon.

A funeral Mass will be at noon Saturday, Nov. 2, in St. Andrew Catholic Church in Murphysboro. Father Robert Flannery will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery in Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of Mass, Saturday, Nov. 2, at the church. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery in Murphysboro.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro.
