BENTON — Janelle Rogers, 87, passed away Friday evening May 10, 2019, in St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1932, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Benjamin and Anna (Crowell) McRaven.
She married Robert E. Rogers on Nov. 28, 1998, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2016.
Mrs. Rogers finished her career as an office assistant for Roger Clark DVM.
She liked to work in her flower garden and she enjoyed crossword puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and Alan Jackson.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her three children, Deanna Marvel and husband, Mike, of Thompsonville, Glenn Hiller of Benton, Greg Gunter of West Frankfort; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lora Williams of Murphysboro; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents; husband, by a son, David Hiller; a great-granddaughter; and by three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
