HERRIN — Jeanette Louise Brandon, 83, of Herrin, passed away at 11:35 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, in Helia Healthcare of Energy.
Jeanette was born Oct. 25, 1933, in West Frankfort, the daughter of Johnie and Eda (DeZutti) Cavalli.
She married Lee Roy Brandon in Herrin on July 4, 1952. He survives in Herrin.
Mrs. Brandon was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin.

She was very active in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Jeanette had a passion for art and watercolors and had won numerous Best of Show Awards at Du Quoin and HerrinFesta art shows. She was also a member of the Herrin Women’s Club. Jeanette was an avid Southern Illinois University football and basketball fan, to be remembered fondly by the numerous referees to whom she assisted throughout the years.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Roy Brandon of Herrin; son, Eric Lee and Annie Brandon of Harrisville, Michigan; daughters, Yvonne Marie and John Davis of Winthrop Harbor, and Leanne Stevens and fiancé, Mark Lenze, of Vergennes; eight grandchildren, Emmy Brandon and Jarrod Brubaker of Portland, Oregon, Alli Jo Brandon of Harrisville, Michigan, Jennifer Davis of Chicago, Jeffrey Davis of Winthrop Harbor, Joseph and Nicole Davis of Chicago, Joshua and Teresa Timmermann of Vancouver, British Columbia, Jordan Timmermann and Corinne Russell, and Jillian Timmermann, all of Seattle, Washington; one great-grandson, Logan Timmermann of Vancouver, British Columbia; sister, Annette Ahlm of Duncanville, Texas; many beloved nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, in Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin, with Monsignor Ken Schaefer and the Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Inurnment will follow in San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the funeral home.
