CARBONDALE — Lee Parrish Phemister, 81, passed away early Sunday morning, April 14, 2019, in River to River assisted living in Anna.

Lee was born July 19, 1937, in Carbondale, and lived there most of his life. He was the son of the late Artie and Ruby Phemister.

Lee is survived by his sister, Arletta Cox of Murphysboro; and his brother, Don of Sacramento, California; two sons, Mark and wife, Tomi, of Jonesboro, and Andrew of Mankato, Minnesota; two stepchildren, Troy and Julie; two grandchildren, Brent and fiancée, Brittany Martin of Jackson, Missouri and Amber and husband, Mike, Grenda of Ottawa; and four great-grandchildren, Abbigail and Benjamin Phemister, and Moira and Atticus Grenda.

Celebration of life will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in Veterans of Foreign Wars in Anna.
