Neva Nell (Furlow) Teipen, 90, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, in Franklin, Indiana.
She was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Christopher. Neva's parents were Otis L. Furlow and Della (Rowland) Furlow of Christopher.
Neva married Darrell G. Mobley. They divorced, and they had three sons, Michael L. Mobley and wife, Nita, of Salem, David G. Mobley and wife, Janet, of Greenwood, Indiana, Richard W. Mobley and wife, Melanie, of Knoxville, Tennesee. Neva had five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Neva later married Joseph L. Teipen and he preceded her in death.
Neva is survived by a brother, Glenn Furlow. Neva was preceded in death by her sisters, Norma, Eva Dot, and Ellen.
Neva graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a bachelor of science degree in education.
Neva taught at several schools in Illinois and Indiana including Emma, Illinois. Neva was employed by the Franklin College, and for Indiana State in the Work Force Development Agency. Neva considered her main job as being a homemaker.
Neva was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Franklin and Nineveh Senior Centers.
A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 30, with a service immediately following at Jessen Funeral Home inFranklin, Indiana. Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in Harrison Cemetery in Buckner.
