MURPHYSBORO — Paul Ray Grammer, 55, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, in St. Louis as a result of complications from heart surgery.
Paul was born Jan. 8, 1963, to the late Donald Grammer and Jeanette (Crane) Balsano in Carbondale.
He was a 1981 graduate of Murphysboro High School. He married Linda Reed in 1998. She survives. In 2012, Paul graduated from the Southwest Acupuncture College with an M.S. in Oriental Medicine. He had his own Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture practice in Marion. His work and patients gave him great joy.
Paul is survived by his wife, Linda; mother and stepfather, Jeanette and Wayne Balsano; grandfather, Warren G. Grammer; stepmother, Sandy Grammer; brother, Kevin (Becky) Grammer; sister, Karen (James) Price; stepbrothers, Joey and John Stephenson and Steve Balsano; as well as many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and stepsister.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, in Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro, with the Rev. Charles Allen officiating.
