CARBONDALE — Peggy (Williams) Drew Gualdoni, age 89, passed away, Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Peggy was born on May 11, 1930, to Floyd "Dago" and Allene (Mann) Williams in Carbondale.
She married Ray Drew on April 8, 1950. They shared 34 years of marriage, prior to Ray's death Jan. 14, 1985. Peggy and Ray had two children, Mike Drew and wife, Pam, of Carbondale, who survive, and Carol Denice Drew Elliott (deceased Dec. 17, 1995). She is also survived by two grandsons and two great-granddaughters, Nathan Drew and wife, Sara, and their daughter, Harper of Arnold, Missouri; and Joshua Elliott and wife, Kara, and their daughter, Adaline of Herrin.
Peggy married Emil Gualdoni on Nov. 13, 1991. They shared 20 years of marriage prior to his death on March 9, 2011. Peggy loved and welcomed Emil's two daughters and one son and their families, all of which survive, Mary (Dennis) Sloan, Gayla (Wayne) Hosmon and Emil A. Gualdoni; seven step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Denice Drew Elliott; two husbands; and a brother, John "Little Dago" Williams.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019, in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Inurnment will follow.
