MURPHYSBORO — Susan F. Williams, 101, formerly of Murphysboro, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, in Liberty Village of Maryville.
Susan was born May 19, 1916, in Alto Pass, to Roy Ferrill and Lela (Holder) Ferrill.
She had worked as a retail clerk at Gertrude's Fashions in Murphysboro.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Eastern Star and a lifetime member of the Elk's Lodge 572 in Murphysboro.
Susan married Charles A. Williams on June 20, 1937, in Murphysboro, and he preceded her in death on April 30, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Williams and his fiancée, Betsy Ebersohl of Granite City, and Rich Williams and his wife, Lana (nee VanCloostere) Williams of Millstadt; six grandchildren, David (Silvia) Williams of Pennsylvania, Sharon Constantino of Solon, Ohio, Kim (Bill) Roberts of Greenville, Texas, Nicole Williams and her finacé, Branden Bilderback of Murphysboro, Tonya Williams of Chicago, and Gina Williams of Brooklyn, New York; five great-grandchildren, Drew Roberts and Mallory Roberts of Greenville, Texas, Evan Constantino and Reid Constantino of Solon, Ohio, and Atom Williams of Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by one son, David Williams; one grandson, Stephen Williams; one brother Owen Ferrill; one sister, Fay Fisher; and her parents.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, in Pettett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Melissa Waterman officiating, and burial in Tower Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, Murphysboro.
